Kung Fu Panda finds Inner Peace…

Have you seen part 2? Po and the gang are dispatched to save China but Po cannot defeat his enemy unless he finds “inner peace”. Through a series of events that unravel his tragic past, Po is faced with the realization that he doesn’t know who he really is. For Po, accepting his past and deciding to move forward were keys to his inner peace. Can this be the same for you and I?

Surely, accepting our past (which can contain very painful and disappointing memories) and choosing to move forward, can act as a catalyst and prepare our mind and heart toward forgiveness however, that is only a step toward peace.

The Bible speaks about a peace that surpasses all understanding. Not the kind of peace you receive when you have paid all your bills; you and I both know that is short lived. No, not the kind of peace you feel when you finally have your room or house cleaned and organized; just give it a week.

Check out what Jesus says about this…

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

What a promise right? Then He challenges the way we humans give and says he doesn’t give the way this world gives. See, God knows the condition of our hearts and knows that when we give there is a motive behind it, whether it is for pleasure, fame or recognition. Jesus wants to make sure we know we can trust Him and that He makes good on his promises; unlike many we know who have broke them.

Ask yourself one question… What are you looking for? What is it that you long for and desire for deep within your soul, within your heart, within all that makes you, you. Take the time to writes those words down. My words were acceptance, peace, love and accomplishment. My dear one, Jesus gives us all this plus an eternity with Him in Heaven. Nothing on this earth can match that.

What you desire is only found in a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Boldly and confidently, I write this to you as He has and continues to provide me with the peace & love I have longed for my entire life.

Seek Him…

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

GOSSIP KILLS.

Proverbs 18:21 says the tongue has the power of LIFE and DEATH. You can choose to speak words of Life which are uplifting, encouraging and edifying in nature, or you can choose words that bring Death, which are hateful, belittling, demeaning and slanderous in nature.

Beware of those in your life or in your circle that breed and foster DEATH from their tongues. The word of God gives us guidance on how to interact with such a person:

He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do not associate with a gossip. Proverbs 20:19

How do you deal with a gossiper who is gossiping about you?

As usual the word of God gives us guidance and direction:
If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Matthew 18:15

And how would you treat a pagan (a non-Christian or worshiper of other gods) or a tax collector (often perceived as one who lied or extorted money from the people)?

Like any other unbeliever; with mercy and grace, knowing that; “Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:25

Have you been participating in Gossip?

Then, “Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. 2 Tim 2:16

As believers we must… “Do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of Truth. 2 Tim 2:15

This study has definitely ministered to me and I hope to you.

I need Thee every hour, Most gracious Lord; No tender voice like Thine Can peace afford.

I need Thee every hour, In joy or pain; Come quickly and abide, Or life is vain.

Meeting physical needs alone does not get people to follow God. Whether hungry, full, rich or poor, humans remain in rebellion against God without the power of the Gospel.
